Artist Associates help lift the voice of the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed living in impoverished communities around the world. You help speak for those who might never be heard here in this country. By sharing during performances, you can help people in your audience understand both the desperate need and the wonderful news that they can make a difference through child sponsorship.

Characteristics of a World Vision Artist Associate

We are advocates: as an Artist Associate, you will speak out on behalf of those whose voices might not be heard… the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed living in impoverished communities around the world. You will become their advocate. Your goal will be to help people in your audience understand both the desperate need and the wonderful news that they can make a difference through child sponsorship.  You will be fully equipped, trained, and supported by World Vision in this goal.

We are educators: you will be trained and empowered to share about the transforming potential of child sponsorship and the work of World Vision. You will not only open the eyes of others to the realities of poverty, but also share the faces of children, families, and communities whose lives can be transformed forever with the help of caring sponsors.

We are committed partners: you are a partner working hand-in-hand with the communities and the children whom World Vision serves. Through our words and actions, the children and families we represent are treated with the dignity they deserve. We offer a “hand up” as opposed to a “handout,” and we believe in positively portraying the abilities, strength, courage, and resourcefulness of those with whom we work.
